FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Which areas do you cover?
I cover Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire, the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire and Leicestershire weddings. However, if you live a little further out and would still like my services, why not enquire, as on occasion, it may be possible to travel a little further. I invoice you for travel, and I endeavour to keep these expenses to a minimum. I am also experienced in doing destination weddings.

What happens if I need to cancel a booking with you?
You always have the right to change your mind. If you choose to cancel your wedding day booking following a trial, you will lose your deposit, but not be charged for the remainder of the services.

How many people can you make up on the wedding day or at an event?
If there are more than four makeups, I’ll probably bring in one of my colleagues. We’ll always agree this with you in advance, so that you are clear about the set-up. It also depends on the time that you need to get into your dress and how happy you are with early mornings!

I think I might have left it too late to book as I am getting married soon. What is the latest booking you will accept?
Send me an email or give me a call. I tend to get booked up far in advance, but it’s always worth checking availability. I also have a wonderful team of artists who may be available to you, even if I am not.

What if I’m not happy with my trial?
I always allow plenty of time for your trial so that we can design your look until you are happy. I am very open and do not take offence – if you do not like something I would always rather you say at the trial and we can redo that aspect. After all, that is what a trial is for, and you are the customer. We will not leave you until you are happy.

I have sensitive skin. What products do you use?
I use a wide variety of products, ranging from the well-known over the counter brands including MAC, Laura Mercier, Yves St Laurent, Clinique and Estee Lauder. If your skin is especially sensitive you should let me know beforehand so that I know what you can and cannot use. I can research and source the necessary products before the trial to suit you.

Do I have to purchase products?
No, not at all. If you ask about a product that I use for bridal work I will let you know, but I am not selling the product. The only thing that you have the option of purchasing for yourself is the lip colour that will need touching up on the day, but I always provide my brides with a small tester pot sample of the colour used on the wedding day along with an applicator so there is no need to get a full sized lipstick if you don’t want to.

Do you have makeup for people of different ages?
Yes, your makeup will be age appropriate. I adapt the mix and the application of makeup to suit your age and of course there are specific products for different skin types.

Do you cater for different skin tones?
Yes. I have a comprehensive makeup kit which covers a wide variety of different skin tones.

What happens if you are ill or already booked on my wedding day?
If I am unwell, I have a wonderful team who will be fully briefed to provide you with exactly the same service that you are expecting. We’ll be in contact ahead of your event, so there will be no last minute surprises. If I am already booked,  I will let you know immediately and we will organise an alternative member of my team. You will not need to go in search of an alternative makeup artist yourself as we will remedy any issues that arise.

What happens if there is a product I need or want for my day that you do not have in your kit?
If there is a product which you specifically require for your special day, do not hesitate to ask, as I will endeavour to go the extra mile to source any new products you want.
